    hi
recently got a 2009 E200 Mercedes which has factory fit phone system but the cradle is for a Nokia 6something and i have a Samsung s3 . Have done some research and think i have only 2 options , change cradle to fit my phone or get a bluetooth "puck" to fit in where cradle .
Any advise on which option would be best and price and where to buy online ,i only seem to be able to find US sites

    Thanks

It's probably too big for a cradle, best to look at a Bluetooth unit.

Either an official Merc bluetooth unit (try eBay) or a Viseeo.....

http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/12565745/art/veho/vbc-001-blk-saem-bluetoot.html some thing like this should be fine i cant say how good it is as i just use loud speaker on my phone when driving and my old car radio had Bluetooth build in.

    edit or ebay http://www.ebay.ie/itm/PAMA-APOLLO-PLUG-N-GO-BLUETOOTH-SUN-VISOR-HANDSFREE-CAR-KIT-/140712372372?pt=UK_Car_Speakerphones&hash=item20c31c6894#ht_719wt_1037

Cant believe they still have the cradle for the old Nokia's in an 09 car:eek:

I have a pre facelift w211 with the built in phone kit and I bought the MBU3000 adapter from here http://www.viseeo.com/

While the other kits will work the viseeo is, imo, the best solution. You can then use the keypad on the dash to make calls etc. and you dont have to clip anything to your sun visor or have another mic.The viseeo is just plug and go.I have found it excellent.

Find out which is the right adapter for your cradle and there are many places to buy it, Viseeo, amazon etc.

The price will depend on which adapter you need. My one cost £150stg I think.€350 is crazy money.

I have a w221 - its not got the cradle but I am sure you can also remove the cradle to reveal the socket thingy here the HFP B67875877 connects to.

It's an official MB bluetooth one I got off ebay shipped and all for 125 yoyo.
Works straight out of the box. 0 issues, excellent piece of kit.

Ordered 2 Bluetooth adaptors for 07/08 E-Classes last year, from a Merc dealer. Think they were roughly €280 + VAT and took about a week to come in.

125 from ebay is looking like a total bargain compared to what we paid for them.

I think the cradles were only in the older models. The newer models have a UHI/MHI (or something like that:)) connector.Just check what adapter you need and it will be fine.

Another good site for mercedes bluetooth adapters is http://www.commandonline.co.uk/

    Hope this helps.

that one works with the UHI connector I linked in my previous post.

I am not sure but I think I read somewhere that the cradle in yours actually plugs into that UHI connector. See if you can easily remove the cradle to reveal this - if so you are sorted.

    look at this link

if you can't this may be what you are after

    Hi Stan,
I recently bought a merc also with same cradle.
I bought a second hand 6310i for €45 and put a ready to go sim in it.
I use it as the car phone and anytime I am in the car, I simply forward my iPhone to the car phone.
It works perfectly, sound is crystal clear ( better than bluetooth) and mutes the radio automatically .
    Hope this helps.
I can send you link where to get 6310 if you want.
    They are a bulletproof phone.

    Charlie
