Wait list?

    Hi,

I visited my doctor on December 10th 2012 as I had started getting pretty major panic attacks and anxiety. She recommended meditation, exercise and some counselling rather than starting medication initially, which I completely agreed with. I cannot afford private care, so she referred me publicly within a day or two and told me it could take three months to be seen.
I received a letter from my county health boards counselling service on Dec 14th asking me to call and confirm my details, which I did straight away that day but I still have yet to hear anything else, despite it being six month later. My panic attacks have continued and I feel my general level of anxiety has risen a little.
I just wondered if anyone knows if the waiting list is really long, or if I've been forgotten about. I feel bad even asking because I know there's so many more people worse off than I am, but I just thought ask around.

    Cheers guys,
    B.

not being smart, but nobody here knows the answer to your question. your best bet is to call the secretary and ask where you are on the list and when you can expect an appointment.
