Where is best place to buy one of these?

I think the S1 would be grand, or is the S3 worth going for for the extra cost?

    Thanks in advance

I know this isn't a watch gps but I got this a few weeks ago and I find it great and its a bloody great price.

thanks for that. i have an iphone with a number of GPS Golf apps - would these be the same thing essentially?

Possibly. But as far as I know u can't iphone apps in competition. This gps is handy because its touch screen and u can move the target to get yardage to a specific spot. I think for the money it won't be beaten.

It's the price you pay, not what the discount they say, that's the important thing!
Feel like I was talking to herself there :D

That G3 is 88 sterling, so about €105, you might need the accessories to go with it too so that will make it €135 and some postage to boot.

The S1 Watch is €165 online in McGuirks... I got one two weeks ago and am delighted with it.

The watch is great, for the difference of €30 or less, I'd go with the watch all day long.

I priced around and €165 seems to be a decent deal, maybe a bit old fashioned but I prefer buying anything electronic/etc from a seller who has a shop that I can walk into if needed.

Thanks for that - I would be more inclined to go for the watch too....its for 159 at the moment in American golf....I would be looking to get a second hand one even, if there was one going

    You're not getting mine :D

It's amazing how quickly you become to "need" one, left mine at home for a round recently and I was having a panic attack :)

I looked around a bit for a second hand one, there are not many floating around. Relatively new products, might take a while before second hand ones appear in any numbers.

Slightly OT but anyone have a preference between a pocket gps unit or the gps watch ?
Haven't used either yet, just a laser, but slightly unsure which gps would be best...

Free postage to Ireland on the approach from Amazon. Took 3 days for it to come. Comes with bag clip, requires batteries tho.
