Was tired of the battery not lasting the whole day on the S3 so I ordered the Zerolemon 7000 mah extended battery from Amazon. Just put it on the 12 hour charge as instructed.

It makes the phone quite heavy and thick but its the juice that interests me.

    I'll keep you posted.

Yep, have been using it for 2 weeks now. Note though that unlike most extended batteries this battery does cover the radio portion of the phone so there will be a reduction in speeds. I've only done a few tests myself and I've noticed a roughly 8-10% drop in speeds. Not important for me but might be for some.

Read that it can effect signals, I'll just have to wait and see as I use it for streaming and listening to Tunein Radio. I live in a semi rural part so signal is important.

Comment on the weight if you would.

How are you getting on with how long you get as against the stock battery?

The cut outs on the case are all good I find.:)

Well I'm coming from another extended battery (Anker 4400) so can't really comment on weight as I haven't used the stock battery in so long! But it doesn't feel much heavier than my last battery, and I have noticed an improvement in battery life although I haven't done any proper tests on it. I tether at home at least 6 hours a day so anyone battery tests I do will certainly be lower than average. I think if memory serves me right I comfortably get 4 days out of it.

    Just an update.

Charged it the 12 hours as instructed.

Haven't put it through its paces as yet.

I'll add one thing and that is, "its heavy"

Finally I find the GSAM App very handy to see the status of your battery at a glance.:)

Just an update, this battery just keeps on giving, as yet I have not recharged yet.:)

    Did anyone else get one?

Sorry for a newb question here but what does the "radio" portion of the phone control? Is it wifi and 3G speed? Will it affect calls?

Is the back case that comes with this battery secure?I've had rubbery cases before and noticed that they can slip off.

This looks really interesting, battery is the only draw back of this phone,it would be great if it could be boosted.

I have the anker 4400 battery. currently on over 3 days, stock rom, normal usage. The back case is a bit flimsy and finding a case is bleh. can't fault the battery life tho

Does the 7000 battery allow NFC? Some of the extended ones don't

Can't tell re radio reception as I haven't travelled my usual routes, will report back in a weeks time.

The rubber cover is snug, feels good and will not slip off.

AFAIK it has NFC but I have nothing to test it with.

Just an update after over a month of use.

This is a great battery, I charge it every 3 days after heavy use. FWICS it is not affecting reception of the GSM network.

I give it the thumbs up:):):)

I got one as well last week and after charging it up, it lasted just under 4 days. Not too gone on the white cover which came with it so I emailed zerolemon and they said they'd send me a black one for free! Hasn't shown up yet but they said it would take ~2 weeks.

Thumbs up for me as well!

I think the white would show the dirt quickly.

How do you feel about the size and weight factor?

I installed Gsam to see the precentage on the battery.

Size is fine, with the rubbery cover I find it's actually a lot easier to hold. Hopefully the black one will arrive next week sometime.

You'd notice the extra weight if you had it in your shirt pocket but otherwise not too big a deal.

New black case arrived this morning via registered post from Hong Kong, definitely a much better option than the white one. Battery itself is doing well, after the 2nd full charge I'm now on 4.5 days with 21% left so I'd guess it will get to 5 days+ without any problems!

My usage would be fairly light so your mileage might vary.
