Looking at a 2005 Ford Focus 1.4 Petrol with 100k miles. FSH. €3500.
Would this be a better buy than say a 2003 petrol focus with 70k miles and not as good service history?
    Also saw a 2005 Corolla 1.4 Petrol with 99k miles for €4k.
    Any recommendations?
    Thanks.

Would the 2005 focus not be mk2 and 2003 would be mk1 then your not really comparing the same car as there newer and older models what price was the 03 focus was it much cheaper.

    Ya 03 is mk1 and 05 mk2. The 2003 Focus is €2750.

100k fully serviced miles are better than 70k unserviced or partially serviced miles. 100k miles isnt exactly a lot, and personally Id sooner own a car that I know was well looked after (provided you can verify the service history of course).

To be honest 100k miles is not high mileage on an 8 year old car, that works out at 12,500 miles per year which would be pretty average driving for a petrol car of that age.

BTW the asking price of the 2003 Focus seems expensive to me.
