I see on Stickeybottle that Lakeside Wheelers are running the Mullingar GP on the 30th June instead of the Mullingar 2Day. Great to see that they are running four separate races A1/2, A3, A4 and a ladies race. They always promote a good event and have entry online on their web site www.lakesidewheelers.ie , anyone going to it?.

    Is the two day cancelled?

It was cancelled. It's like the Mullingar Classic now :)

Anyone got a profile map for this?

There's a map at the above link, but I don't really understand it. Does the race really do a U-turn in the middle of the R446? Can anyone explain it?

Just copped this is listed as online entry only on their website.

Anyone know if they're still accepting entries? I know it says entries closed on the 26th, but the online sign-on lets me get as far as the credit card details (not going any further until I know my entry will be accepted).

I've signed up, but not going to make it down after all...if entries can be changed, and anybody wants mine, we can sort something out...

If you're talking about the spot I think you are where N52 turns to R446 that is a roundabout.

Glad I spotted this accidentally as I normally head for a cycle out the N52 on a Sunday about that time and I don't want to be holding these guys up!

Anybody know where Mullingar Rugby Club (Start/sign on) is. I know its exit 17 off the N4 but which way from there?

Anyone know if you can enter on the day? Missed the deadline for the online entry.

    Cheers.

The rugby club is out the Castlepollard road...coming from the Dublin side take a right over the bridge, straight through the roundabout and after about 1k it's on your left!

Fair play to all who did this today. I went out that road for a cycle this evening and found it tough in the wind which I think was weaker than the wind this morning!

Anybody know if there's any photos of this about? I'd be interested in seeing the pain on faces as it was tough out there.
