Job as a make up counter sales person

How would one go about getting a job working for one of the make up counters in BT or Arnotts etc?

My sister did her leaving cert last year and is a bit lost with what to do with herself now. She loves make up and is very good with it, she says she would love a job working as a make up sales person for one of the big brands but has no idea how to go about getting one.

I'm sure the competition is fierce and the jobs don't open up often, but what I want to know is do you need any formal qualifications? Or is just being knowledgeable about make up and good at applying it enough?

And if you do need formal qualifications can anybody recommend some good courses?

I've seen a lot of high end make up brands hiring people with no prior experience (Smashbox, Benefit & Urban Decay come to mind) so maybe try a few of those places although when I saw Smashbox & Benefit being advertised it was on one of the online job sites (and mainly part-time work). No harm in trying :)

Keep an eye on the Benefit Ireland Facebook page, they often have open days for recruiting.
