NI Bank Holiday Advantage

    Hi All,

I have just spent the June bank holiday weekend in Northern Ireland. It was not a bank holiday up there. This appears to mean a large amount of available accommodation at potentially lower prices. (I stand to be corrected on prices).

There are 3 ROI bank holidays a year that are not bank holidays in the North. These are the June, August and October bank holidays.

Just a possible consideration if you’re looking to get away at the last minute on these weekends.

Hope someone finds this of interest.

    have to agree.
Theres great bargains to be had in the north especially in Belfast with some quite acceptable hotels in nice locations going for very reasonable prices.
You can compare that to Galway where they just make up the prices especially at the weekends and folks still pay it whether summer or winter.
