How much N per 1000 gallons regular slurry in this warm weather?
Or is it just all P and K?

Index 4 for both P & K so going with sulphaCAN.

All going well will reseed after second cut. No grass here younger than 35yo min!

Anybody know, how many units of P&K, in 1,000 gals of slurry.
Good quality cattle slurry, with little or no added water.

Good amount of pig slurry in it, quite watery looking. Anyway, you do'nt often get this kind of weather!
And it Will be on the ground and the stubble, not the new growth.

    Went with 3 bags SulphaCAN.

Slurry - wait till just before the rain. I applied it 10 days ahead of rain earlier in the year and then it got a flood. It never really broke down the cake that had formed and I'm not sure how much of the nutrients got down into the soil. It wasn't that watery though, so if you've watery stuff that would penetrate better.

No the opposite in fact, in hot weather the dung Beetle is far more active. Ive had slurry disappear into the ground within 3 days in hot weather

I'm just heading into 10 acres that got good dose of undiluted slurry on Wednesday after first cut.
Been sitting under 24 degrees since. I'll report back on how well it's been baked or otherwise. Might even count the dung beetles! -;)

Well I'm just back from the slurried ground. Not caked, despite few days under hot sun. There's a fierce heavy dew at night, keeping things fresh. Need wellies in the grass margins, as grass is very wet from the dew.
Some rain promised next week. Time to get a pallet of sulpha can.
