S3 not connecting to Kies?

    Hey all,
    After an update to kies or the s3 firmware i havent been able to connect my phone to kies. I had it connected before the update but it just says the phones name on the left and just stays spinning trying to connect. Ive googled the problem already and no one seems to know an answer. Can anyone help or have the same problem? Thx!

    I had similar issues with Kies. I found that uninstalling reinstalling was the only thing that worked.

    Otherwise, for updates just use Odin, and for file transfer just use the phone as an external drive and drag/drop files to it like any other media device. (you could use an SD card if you have a Mac, they don't do file transfer as well as a PC).

    So there's ways around not using Kies if it's really giving you trouble.
