Thinking of going in August, anyone been whats the best place to go with a 14 and 10 year old, looking for activity during the day and some entertainment at night.

    Thanks in advance

Barry Island, just outside Cardiff is okay for teenagers. At least it was when I was one! It's handy enough, very close to Cardiff airport. Good beach and promenade and plenty of stuff to keep kids amused.

There's a good few things to see and do around Cardiff too. Caerphilly Castle, Margam Park and the Big Pit (a mining museum where you actually go down into the coal pit).

August will be mental though with school holidays. Still a good spot though.

The Gower is truly beautiful, especially its beaches. Worth a go! It's near to Swansea if you want something to do in the evening. :-)
