Windows 8 Drivers Query!

    Hi lads,
I'm building my mate a gaming PC with some of my left over parts that I no longer have any use for.

I gave him my Phenom II X4 B55 (an unlocked Phenom II X2 555BE) that overclocks to 3.8-4.0Ghz handily enough. My AsRock 790GX Pro AM3 motherboard and some random Antec CPU cooler as well as a nice Corsair HX850 PSU.

All the rest of his build was bought new i.e Case, RAM, SSD and GPU. It should be a nice build when completed.

I've installed Windows 8 64bit and was expecting to have to install some motherboard drivers e.g network drivers etc. but when I went to Device manager there was no little yellow triangles! Windows 8 had obviously installed generic drivers or whatever.

My question is should I install any of these drivers from the Asrock website?
I'm thinking possibly the AMD all in one driver in compatibility mode as they are actually Windows 7 drivers. Do I actually need to though?

    Any input would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    A slightly unsure Moo.:o

Windows has a lot of device driver's built into it but I would still take the latest ones from the site.

At least the important ones anyway.

Bloodbath to the rescue!!! Kind off;)

The latest drivers for the motherboard on the AsRock site are from 3 years ago. Should I grab any drivers from AMD?

    Thanks again,
    Moo.

I would always try and get the latest graphics and board drivers from their sites so yes.

I found chipset drivers from April 2013 here.

    Are these okay to install?
