Opinions on Phablets, principally Chinese ones!

My current handset, a crusty Arc S, is really getting me down, slow, bloatware, can't unlock the bootloader etc.
I can wait until September for an upgrade or jump ship now and get one of the latest Chinese phablet forms.
Now, I know the Galaxy Mega's are on the way, but the specs and battery capacity of the N7300 Ex don't look bad at all, and at around the €165 mark, it seems like a good deal.
I am having great difficulty in finding any impartial review of the handset.
The large format suits because I don't own a tablet and I mainly use my current phone for browsing rather than calls.
So, what's the thoughts of the local brain trust?
    nasty phablet or good deal?

It looks very like the one my colleague got. The battery was DOA so took two weeks to get that replaced, the screen was a bit dull and it there was a lot of visible lag. It was sold as an 'Android Note' I think. There's a risk of it being destroyed by customs for copyright infringement given the name and design.
