Polished Concrete Floor?

    Hi all,

I'm shortly starting a full refurb & extension on a house. It a 3 bed semi, and going with a contemporary style.

Will be putting in new a floor downstairs, and I'm considering a polished concrete floor - suggested by my architect, and pictures I've looked at online seem great too - but I've never actually seen one, or stood on one! (at least not consciously!)

I'd like to see some examples before I commit, so anybody know of any polished concrete floors that I can go to see in the Cork area, even in a commercial building?

    Tim

(P.S. I posted a few days ago in Interior Design forum, but no responses :( posting here, as it's relevant here also I think. Mods, delete if not appropriate)

    Hi Tim,

I'm more than happy to answer any questions you should have about polished concrete floors. Admittedly we've never worked on any floors in Cork, but I'll certainly try to help where I can.

    Cheers,

    Dave

    Hi,

Considered a polished floor ourselves but we had a large floor space and it was outside our budget. It really does look great.

I did see this alternative, cheaper option in the past few weeks on a house in Longford which may interest you.

    Best of luck

Thanks @DaveCarr - I don't really have questions per-se, read the technical stuff, and seen loads of pictures, but would like to see one in person :)

@Viscosity1 thanks for the link! Hopefully my budget will be ok!
