Sky Go Devices

I know that you can only change 1 device a month with Sky Go. I changed it from my iPhone to my Xbox this month and then I needed to rebuild my laptop and thus lost my laptop device and thus can't re add it.

I was onto the online chat about it and they said nothing can be done.

If I ring them up will the allow me to add a new device or am I stuck with just the Xbox this month?

I set up SKY Go on my laptop tonight and then went to have a look at City V Newcastle on it. It works fine, but the picture quality/bit rate was appalling, is it my laptop, my broadband strength ( I average about 3 M/B ) or Sky's output ?

I have SkyGo on my Nexus 7 but I can't get it to play on the desktop or laptop.
Keep getting an error no matter what I try to watch.

I noticed something very significant in relation to SkyGo. As we all know only too well you are now only allowed 2 devices with the previous workaround to add extra devices no longer working. However if you pay for multiroom you can get SkyGo Extra for free through you account allowing you another 2 devices, so 4 in total ! This saves you the €6 you would normally have to pay for SkyGo Extra.

How does one set that up?

Funnily enough I watched that game on an iPad and thought the picture was appalling also. It is usually very good.

Just checked other forums and all reporting awful picture quality on Sky Go. Apparently until recently, you could adjust the picture quality, but Sky removed this facility and Auto is the only option now , because they claimed that they wanted all users on all devices to have the same quality. Well, all users now have the same ****e quality ! I suppose because they are providing it "free" as part of your subscription, they don't give a monkeys about it, but in this age when people are more and more, using devices other than TVs to watch programmes, it's a bad service from Sky, considering that normally they pride themselves on service, technology,HD, etc.

I was able to go into my account online and added the option Sky Go Extra to my package and because I had multiroom the cost came to zero.

Tried that before you posted back actually and it seems to have worked - nice tip off.
