It could be dealt with in either.

For cultural context my essay plan is:

    - Setting (why it's important, impact on the characters)
    - Social Status/Wealth (contrast)
    - Clash of different classes/cultures
    - Patriarchal Society (role of men, contrast with role of women)

I might to add another topic or two in to get enough written, we'll see.

My texts are Gatsby, Translations and I'm Not Scared, so I'm not sure if they'd work for all texts or not.

That's probably enough to be fair, you can usually milk setting for two pages alot of the time!

    That's the plan anyway :D

Anyone got a similar layout for identity? I was going to bash one out in the morning just in case, but I'd rather devote some of that time to geography where it is sorely needed. :P

1-The setting and how it effects identity (communities and stuff)
2-How language differences shows cultural/monetary divides (accents and things)
    3-How childhood shapes identity
4-how the loss of childhood innocence further affects identity
5-do the characters remain true to their identity?
Not sure if that'll help due to the different texts and stuff :p

I have the same paragraph about this topic nearly word for word in both my cultural context essay and theme essay.

What are your plans per paragraph for theme and issue? As in a general heading that could be applied to any texts... I.e characters, climatic scenes etc

3/4 aren't really relevant for mine but 1,2 and 5 fit perfectly! Thank you! :)
