    Hello,

Was looking into renting a boat for 10 days to cruise the Shannon the end of August/start of September.

It will be for 4 people/2 couples and a dog.

I went with Carrickcraft about 8 years ago but they don't accept pets on any of their boats bar the 'Carlow class'.

I went investigating the Emerald Star line then and they do accept pets and the rates are good.

My question is, does anyone know where I can get any more photos for the boat and especially the interior as there's only a few photos of 1 side from a distance online.

Here's the boat I'm looking into hiring:
    Emerald Star 'Lake Star'

That boat would be fine for two couples IMO. The 2 double cabins are at each end of the boat. However one cabin has 2 single berths, not a double. Not the largest boat in the world but easy to handle and comfortable. The type of boat is a broom or aquafibre 32 if you want to google it.

That's very helpful thank you. Was trying to figure out the model of the boat.

Yeah 1 cabin has 2 single beds but they convert into a double, nearly bigger than double bed. Same as the carrickcraft boat I got before.

Thanks to the others for pics too :)

The other boat available starting just a day later is this 'Corvette', which I think is nicer and a little bigger but I'm still keeping both as options for the moment

Yes 'Corvette'. If you clicked on the link you'd see what I mean. It's just the nickname given to the boat, one model is called 'Corvette', the other 'Lake Star'.

Not an American sports car drivable on water lol.

According to their website that Corvette boat isn't available in Ireland, and tbh I don't think I've ever seen them on the lake!!

Oh yeah, I just noticed it doesn't state Ireland under availability.

When I choose, Ireland, Carrick on Shannon & returning to Carrick on Shannon for 10 days on 31st August it gives me the Corvette as one of the options along with the Lake Star so I assume it's available, maybe new this season in Ireland.

I guess I'll find out for certain whenever I go to book it :P
