Hi I am just wondering if it is still worth getting this tablet given it has been out for awhile. Or could someone give me some advice as to what is the best value out there at about the same price?

I have the Galaxy S3 and love it, and thats why I was looking at this tab. General use would be entertainment with some light work use.

I would really appreciate any advice.

    Thanks!

Thanks Chewy. Do you mind me asking how long you have had?

They're a great option for a 7", especially if you want to use an sd card and have hdmi video out. Not as powerful as the quad core Nexus tablet, but again it depends on what you're after. The Nexus doesn't have the above, but would be a better choice if you want to play high end games. Note that the Tab 2 has plenty of power for the likes of angry birds and games of the like, it's a dual core after all.

The tab 2 also has gps so can be used as a large Sat nav (try Navfree as it doesn't require a data connection).

Jelly Bean is the latest version on the tab 2 and it probably won't get any more updates in that respect, unlike the Nexus which should get updates for another year or so.

Anyhow is still a good buy if you get it for a good price imho.

Thanks for the info. Is there anything better out at the moment or soon to come out which competes with the tab on price. Would nt be much gaming (just football manager!). Mainly would be used for browsing, movies and skype.

Would it be worth tryi g to jump up to the note tab given it is likely to get more updates?

    Thanks again.

Samsung has a few announcements imminent. A new tablet is expected so perhaps you might be better off waiting for a couple of weeks to see what happens

I'm thinking about getting a Samsung tablet myself. I've narrowed it down to either the Samsung Note 10.1 or hold off till the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 comes out. Any advice on to which one is better?

Hi . Apparently Galaxy Tab 3 will go on sale here near end of July. Havent seen a price yet but surely it would have to be a good bit cheaper than Note. otherwise I will be going for the Note aswell
