    Can anyone recommend the best sites to buy accessories. Im starting out and need to get all the bits and pieces like padded shorts, helmets, pumps etc.

    thanks for the quick reply.... is there much of difference or would you haggle the difference with your LBS?

    You can sometimes get some vg deals online but I find that 90% of the time I can get a better deal in LBS . That also depends on LBS, I'm lucky to be near an excellent one and the larger stores are not always the cheapest.
    I usually browse these sites see what I want ( probably don't need :) ) and see what LBS is charging or would charge if he had to order.

    sounds like you have a good relationship with the LBS, I dont think that I would be in the same position.

    Prices I get are marked prices not any special deal. For example last helmet I bought was a Kelly's and cost something like twenty euro cheaper than the edge in cork. His gloves are usually 2-4 euro cheaper than same brand model in two shops I've dealt with in limerick city. A lot of shops will order stuff in for you I just make sure price is right first :) . A lot of LBS are competitive but that's not to say you won't get great deals online , if your prepared to keep eye on sites for when a product gets marked down there is value out there. The bargain alert thread here is good one to follow :)
