Hi, Just wondering if any Nexus 4 owners have this problem or have found a workaround.

I cannot access my phonebook from a car kit.It is not an issue with the car kit as I have it paired with two different kits and the phonebook appears empty on both of them.

I have tried everything I can think of except a factory reset.Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?Thanks

There is definitely some form of Bluetooth gremlins at play with the N4 I have found!

Mine for some reason will just not pair with my mates Sony Car Kit at all - no matter what we have tried....

It does pair with mine (when it's arsed!) 70 percent of the time, when it doesn't I just power it off and power it back on and it works fine then....

There is a BT issue according to Google forums and I think it's due to be sorted in the 4.3 update due soon....

I have had no problems pairing it with a Parrott or Viseeo car kit. The only thing is that I can't see my phonebook which is only a minor irritation.

Occasionaly bluetooth will switch off and the only way to turn it back on is to power off the phone and turn it back on. This has only happened once or twice since I got the phone a few months ago.

Mine has some bluetooth issues as well. Sometimes bluetooth just hangs and I've to reboot the phone to get it to turn on or off.

I would check N4 compatibility with the bluetooth device manufacturer first. I got a car with a kit in it and the kit buttons won't pick up or hang up calls making you do it on the phone first. Sure enough the manufacturer says they have problems with N4s. Disappointing from such a good device.

yeah I've been having issues with my car kit as well. I've had to make it "forget" the kit I'd say a good 50% of the time I try and connect. Annoying, but hopefully it'll be sorted with the next update.

To put the question another can anyone with a bluetooth carkit and a nexus 4 view their contacts through the carkit. When I first got the phone I synced it to my email and the only no. that showed up on the carkit was one of my email contacts, the one one which I had a phone no. in their details.

If I can find an easy way to view my contacts I will do it.I dont fancy setting up a contact in my email for every phone no. to be able to view them in my car. Will probably just have to live with it until android 4.3 and see if that fixes it.
