starting triathlon club , need road bike

I'm starting triathlon club training soon and need a road bike. Was looking at a giant defy 2, nice bike, want similar but don't wanna spend that amount. I will buy second hand if I could find similar as I don't qualify for bike to work. Any suggestions , thanks
