    Amazing what some have got away with for rules violations this year and then this...

    Janzen DQ before starting his second round for the us open qualifier today. He was standing on the putting green when an official asked was he wearing metal spikes. He was!

    Local rule was no metal spikes. Janzen has worn them for 20+ years and at us opens and qualifiers before.

    Ruthless with some players. Not so ruthless with others it appears.

    In fairness to the USGA, they clearly outlined it in the letter to every participant, see attached.

    The player is 100% at fault here, it's just stupidity on his part.

    He didn't have a hope in hell in qualifying anyway, he would have had to shoot an amazing 61 to qualify!
