    Am renewing my soon-to-expire licence
    Just wondering bout the photos
I remember a hu-ha a whie back when the licence was being rolled out ... Something bout the standard photos from the local chemist etc no longer being acceptable and that photos would have to be taken at a designated centre ...
Anyway have goggled it, and can't find anything...
So what's the story? Wanted to bring the form to the tax office in the morning to start the ball rolling on this..I know it also means being without my licence for a weeks while its being processed... Is it true I get a letter from the tax office to say I have applied for the new one...
    What a farce

Just go to a chemist and get some normal passport photos taken, they still accept them. I had to do it when getting the new license.

10 days, according to the chap in the Clondalkin office when I was applying last week.

Anyway, they just have one of those little coin-operated booths in that office and that's what I used for my photos, no issues.

I was waiting for provisional for about 4 weeks in April. Could be different now.
