Hi, if I wanted touse my PC wirelessly would I have to buy some type of extra card that sticks out of my Pc or buy a motherboard that supports Wifi? Please excuse my ignorance as I have not built a computer before

Some motherboards come with wireless but most do not. If the board does not have it you can get an add on card which is not expensive.

Worth considering a set of homeplugs either, they are quite a bit faster than Wifi.
