    GRIME ALERT!

Looong before Dubstep and Grime had become well known electronic genres in Ireland, Major Grave was churning out fat sub heavy tracks to the assembled underground. With a string of releases under his belt and many fine live performances to boot, this man is not to be missed -
His most recent release came on the Grime 2.0 compilation on the internationally renowned (and Ninja Tune distributed) Big Dada label, the home of artists such as Roots Manuva and Wiley.
Ireland's grimiest producer will be stopping into town bringing a collection of new and unheard beats as well as Grave classics

Major Grave in his own words

I’m a producer from Ireland who goes by the name Major Grave. Im a member of the Standard crew along side DJ Bob & DJ Colz. Standard have been running a weekly radio show every Saturday night on Radio Na Life 106.4FM since 2009. Bringing new, old and exclusive Garage/Grime/Dubstep and lots more from the underground –
    Standard Radio archives (http://smokelessfuels.blogspot.com/s...Standard_Radio)

I’ve been making beats since about 2007 and only recently started putting my music out there (DJs/MC’s/Singers get in touch).
I mainly use an AKAI MPC 2500 and Ableton Live & Pro Tools for production. My first EP MajorBeatz_Vol.01 (http://majorbeatz.bandcamp.com/) was produced and mixed using only the MPC.

A 4 track instrumental EP is available from the MajorBeatz Bandcamp (http://majorbeatz.bandcamp.com/)

    COLZ
    *********
Colz is a long-standing DJ,Producer,Radio Presenter,Musical blogger and all round choonipedia based ourra Dublin town. A well known and respected DJ on the underground scene since the 90s, Colz has consistently been at the cutting edge of electronic music development throughout these years, particularly in the realms of the broken beat and bassier stylings.A member of several choon crews over time including most recently the Standard posse, Colz has carved out countless sets made up of sounds ranging from UK Hardcore through Jungle, Garage, Grime, Dubstep and UK Funky amongst others. A producer of some note, Colz has composed a host of lush tracks, a variety of remixes for artists such as The Infomatics and Major Grave and has had his own work rewired by artists such as the (legendary in my book) Grizzle. He has also been at the healm of one of the best blogs of the past decade -"Smokelessfuels", which has been actively keeping a watchful and learned eye on all things musical since 2008. No stranger to the Galway clubbed crew, Colz is returning with his Standard companero's for the first time in a few years, and is sure to light up the dance.

    BOB
    ********
Bob (also known in days of yore as Konspiracy) is a DJ,Producer,Radio Presenter and all round choon wizard as well as a founder member and backbone souljah of the Standard Crew. Over the last 3 years he has been running the Standard radio show on Raidió na Life 106.4FM every Saturday night from 9-10:30PM and has DJ'd support for El-B, Zed Bias, Kode 9, Zomby, Joker, Ben UFO, Oneman, Cooly G, Deadboy, Bok Bok, Roska, Scratcha DVA,Loefah and many more illustrious acts. His productions and collaborations over the past few years have garnered well deserved attention, and he is even better known for his skills on the turntables, blending Garage,Grime,Funky,Dubstep and pretty much any other sound you could throw at him. Bob played many of the great DubCulture bashes down the years here and forms the final limb of the Standard Galway Takeover - can;t wait to see him in action in the West once again!
