    Ok,

So the ad. says "straight deal €17,800 , retail price €18,500"...

Does this mean, absolutely no haggling..either pay 17800 or dont bother ringing..

Has anyone here ever walked away with paying lower than the straight deal, or should i just try negotiating on a better warranty?

    Cheers folks

Everything is negotiable. How much is the car worth? Do some research on similar cars and find out.

It means no trade in as the retail figure will have some fat build in to make trade in price look better.
If you dont have a trade in you should not be paying the straight price either as this is his asking price which must have some room for bargaining.

Cheers lads, ya am only at the initial stage yet..a lot of the dealerships are quoting around the same figures for 'straight deal' (give or take depending on milage etc.)..
