I was looking to fit a buzzer alarm type thing to an 1987 Case International 1255xl tractor,
I have other people using it and they forget to let handbrake off and thus wreck the brakes.
I was looking to install a buzzer that once the engine is started, the alarm will come on and only stop when handbrake is released.
Anyone able to give me some advice on how to do it to this type of tractor

    Ta

A simple switch, the kind you find in a a car door.
When released it closes the circuit, when closed it opens the circuit.
Use a reversing beeper to make the noise.
You probably need to make a bracket to hold the switch in the correct position but it shouldnt be hard.

there should be a switch on the end of the guide where the handbrake lever slides into, take power for the buzzer from the key switch or where ever you can connect into handy and connect the earth for the buzzer into the wire from the handbrake switch as it will earth the warning light and buzzer, the earth on these tractors is a brown wire hopefully that should help

the handbrake on this tractor is the pull up lever and twist type so not sure how would go about putting a buzzer on that

Take a picture and let us see what you are dealing with.

Problem with you idea is that the buzzer will be sounding anytime you engage the handbrake. To fully solve your problem you need a buzzer that will sound when the handbrake is on and when the tractor is put in gear..

You would get a switch that operates against the twist. If there is a bar or something that it locks it in when it turns. You might need to make a mounting bracket to go with it.

You will need a Normally Open switch and a buzzer to go with it. Maplin would be a good place to start.

There is already a switch in place on these tractors that puts a light on the dash when the handbrake is pulled!
I had a similar idea about the buzzer but the circuit is wired live when the handbrake is off so the buzzer only worked when
the handbrake released! I tried it a few different ways with no luck so now just keep an eye on the dash light! If you have more
luck do let us know as I would still like to fit one in case any other dudes were driving the tractor!!

You can over come your problem with a 12 volt relay. You wire the switch normally open, but,, you wire the contact out of the relay normally closed.

When the switch handbrake is on the live switch will die, but the relay will come on to turn on the buzzar.
