re-kindling interest in chemistry

Does anyone have an opinion on the best way of rekindling an interest in chemistry beyond a formal educational course?

Ive always had a big interest in chemistry, good grades in chemistry at school and all that, but when I came to college I studied law instead and put chemistry on the long finger where it has remained for the last few years, with the occasional library book on the history of chemistry and notable scientists etc. I broke my tibia two weeks ago so i have plenty of time on my hands and I'm thinking now is the perfect time to start up an interest in chemistry again, but it's like facing a massive wall, I don't know where to start.

I doubt there are any chemistry classes like you have language classes (pity that), but if you guys have any tips on good bookshops, open lectures or online resources that would be a major help I'm sure... thanks!
