Your weekly fuel spend?

Whats your weekly fuel spend? I spend between €30 - €50 a week on LPG Autogas depending on my driving as I am on no fixed route and it can vary. Fuel for most people is their single biggest expense behind a mortgage if they have one, so it is interesting to see the figures.

    Bit more than 80 a week, 1.4 petrol, 550km (approx. 340 miles).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,272 ✭✭✭✭Max Power1

seem to be throwing about 80-90 into the 535 per week

I expect this to reduce slightly once I get over the novelty!

~50-60 euro/week at 40mpg. And 1l of water this morning which worries me more than price of petrol at this moment.

If petrol and diesel supply stopped tomorrow, how would you get to work or get the shopping in?

    Car + Bike + Lawnmower = 80 L per week.(petrol)

Dunno how much, I fill the car and a few jerry cans and pay by plastic.

I dont have time to be stopping to calculate it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,607 ✭✭✭toastedpickles

roughly 60/80 a week, maybe less never really thought about it, i just fill it with 20 quid whenever the light comes on

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,599 ✭✭✭Fiskar

€60 a week, I now take the bus on a tax saver ticket. Works out at €24 a week, big difference in my pocket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,088 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

In 2011 I was spending just under €100 a week on diesel (1000km+ weekly mileage)

In the last year and a half that dropped to about €100 every fortnight and my mileage was significantly reduced

Filled the new car yesterday for €110. Let's see how long that lasts :)

    €25 per week on diesel.

I'm waiting for a haulier to come on and say €10k. Mines about €600 - €800 a week, between vans, the car and a jeep. Usually €300 monday morning first thing just to loosen me up for the week. Gotta love it.:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,449 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

    I'm around 55-60 a week. A nice 70km round trip a day. It's not too bad but I really want a diesel.

It doesn't vary that much in fairness; the difference between 35 @ 1.54 and 1.59 is about €2. And you must have an idea of roughly how much you spend on average.

I spend on average €50-€60 a week on petrol. I'd prefer not to think about it to be honest, my daily commute consists of less than ten miles each way!

a tank of petrol lasts me a month, so i'm in the less than €20 bracket, what gets me though is when people are spending alot on diesel, are they driving to work or for work? if thats commuting money they must spend alot of time in the car as well as having a days work to do on top of all the travelling...

i used spend about 100 plus a while back working in dublin and travelling from portlaoise. i used to spend between 2 and 3 hrs a day in the car depending on traffic.
i could a got away with less fuel but used to cruise most of the motorway where possible at 90 to 95mph
    2 litre diesel avensis.
did the same trip last week in a 3 litre bmw and it averaged about 20 euro up and back at same speeds

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,251 ✭✭✭Andrewf20

60-70 yoyos back home a week which gets me around 250 - 280 miles (E36 323i). Im over in the US at the moment. Ive a Ford Focus sized Chevy Cruze 1.4 turbo. Its around $45 to fill the tank. Thats about 35euro and that gets me about 400 miles. Scary to think of the difference.

    About €67 a week, 3 litre petrol. 250ish miles.

Depends on the week really, I'm either driving lots or not at all. Last week was €30 for a half tank of town driving, next week will be around €120 for a return trip to Norfolk via Goodwood.

For a while there my daily commute from Ardee to Belfast was costing me probably around £120 a week. Ouch :-(

100 EUR / 65 litres a week over the last 12 months, I only drive 10k each way to work so it's all weekend driving

About 10e/week. Full tank lasts about 5/6 weeks.

It's crazy the amount of money leaving the country to the Arabs. The price the country has to pay because of piss-poor planning

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,704 ✭✭✭Cheensbo

    In the Surf: About 150L/week @ 27mpg

In the Xantia: About 80L/ week @ 49mpg

So anywhere from €100+ to €200+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,686 ✭✭✭✭Zubeneschamali

€100 a week on diesel for the S-Max. The Mini gets about €20 worth of petrol a week.

80euro a week 480kms travelled on average driving a 1.9ltr. Would love a higher litre car dont mind the fuel costs but the tax is a killer.
