I am wondering if somebody could give me some advice on my diet and exercise.

First of all i am Male 25, Height 5;5, Weight 11st 12 and BMI 27.7%

I have put on about 6 pounds in the last few weeks so i need to sort myself out again and get back into a routine. My gym membership is up but i am saving up to join back in a few weeks.

For breakfast i usually eat one of the below.

Weetabix or corn flakes with skimmed milk and a spoon of sugar.
    2 slices of toast.

    Lunch.

Corned beef or ham and cheese sandwhich.
    Beans on toast.
Tin of Tuna with some fruit.
A non bread crummed chicken done in the george foreman grill.

    Dinner
Most days i try have chichen either a fillet or chicken breast.
    Steak and onions.
    Pork chops.
All the above were with chips or potatoes instead i have started to replace them with beans or peas and a big portion of veg.

    Treats
Once a week i get a take away with the girlfriend. Split a chineese or share a pizza. Also probably once a week have a bar of chocolate or an ice cream.

    Drinks.
I usually have around 3 cups of tea a day with 1 sugar and skimmed milk.
I am still young and go out drinking so maybe unless i cut back my diet is no good. But i go out with the girlfriend and a group of us on a Saturday have about 7 or 8 drinks mostly pints. Most Sundays i go out with a few friends and then meet the family so again about 7 or 8 pints.

    For Exercise.

Not great at the moment the person who is trying to lose weight with me is bigger and won't join the gym. While doing nothing for the next 3 months we usually go 5 days a week for a morning work for about 2 hours. Also again in the night for about an hour. I am not sure walking will do much good.

I have started to do 30 mins on the exercise bike a day and 150 sit ups since i am starting back. I also am booked in for a bootcamp class next week so hoping to do that once a week.

If anybody could tell me if i could make improvements on the diet?
If you can lose weight while still drinking a decent amount.
Is walking much good for losing weight?

You need to get online, make a commitment to learning about nutrition, specifically learn about calories in versus calories out and realise that in order to lose weight, ALL YOU NEED TO DO is find out your maintenance number, ie, the amount of calories your body needs to survive and maintain its current weight then come in 500 calories under that every day.

If your maintenance is 3000 calories a day, you need to be hitting 2500 by whatever means possible be that eating lots of meats and veg, eating 3000 calories but burning 500 cals through exercise or eating 2500 cals worth of mars bars every day, it doesnt matter what way you do it, you will still lose weight at a rate of about 1lb per week as 3500 calories is = to 1lb of fat approx. So, if you are 500 under every day, thats 3500 per week or 1lb of fat. It may come off faster at the start if youre strict.

I should say that the meat and veg and a side of carbs is obviously the best way to go. Eating 2500 cals worth of mars bars for example, while you will still lose weight, you will be starving because that isnt much food, its about 10 bars a day. But for 2500 cals worth of low calorie food, you can have a feast for every meal, lots more food, which is absolutely fine once you stay under your limit.

Its quite scientific in a way but it DOES work. So its all down to your own motivation. To figure out your maintenance go here: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html
