Was going to but just noticed registration is closed and its 50 euro for anyone who didn't register online which I feel is a little too expensive so gonna give it a miss this year. 30 euro would be more appropriate I feel for this type of event

Croi used always say a min of 100 and they never turned anyone away. They have been advertising it as free+ what you can raise/afford. You turn up with what you can afford and they will not stop you.

Re the feed stop in Cong, with the route being reversed a big crowd will hit cong all at once. Cake may dissappear quick.

Enjoy its a great spin .

Up until this year you are correct but there is a comment now on the website saying you must contribute 50 euro in the morning. I think its a shame as up until this year it was as you explained below and you could turn up and pay what you can afford.

Yeah I just had a look on the website there and it says:
It is possible to register on the morning of the event in the Sports Pavilion Dangan & make a minimum contribution of €50 to our cause.

€50 is very steep. A €25-30 donation would be more appropriate imo.

Anyway, I hope the weather on Sunday is like it is today :)

Fantastic event! Organisation and food stops were top class! :)

The weather started off great but got a bit windy and rainy through Maam valley. I averaged 27 kph which I'm pretty happy with considering I hadn't been on my road bike since the last week of April.

The food stop in Oughterard was unbelievable :D

And that was only about half the food!
