Am I overstocked or understocked ?
How do you work it out ?

In old money a cow and calf was 1LU, a bull was 1LU and it looks sa if your heifers are over 2YO so 1LU as well. so you have 78 LU on 76 acres or you are stocked at 2.54LU/HA which is at the upper end of stocking levels

It depends on how productive the land is. Do you have excessive feed left at the end of the year or do you strugle to feed all your animals?

So, you ignore the ssilage ground of 28 acres in your calc?

Your sr is 1.85. On good land with full fert going out and good management you are really under stocked.

    What do you think yourself?

Do you spend most of August using the topper? If you do then you're understocked! (us the last few yrs!)
