I spotted this guy this morning, in a Kildare carpark. I'm wondering if he's a small Common Lizard or something more exotic, any ideas? Thanks

Never seen one so small. What did you do with it?

Oh I left it be - it was at the edge of a green area so no danger of being squashed.

Any newt I've seen before has been much bigger too... hence the reason for my question.

some of the (few) newts i've seen were surprisingly small - down to about an inch long.
