I'm flying from the UK to Ireland with checked luggage but I'm not sure if my suitcase is too big. On this website it has maximum dimensions for Long-haul Flights (to/from USA), but it says nothing about maximum dimensions for Short-haul flights (intra-Europe). Does anyone know what the maximum dimensions for an Aer Lingus short-haul flight?

Why would you go to a third party website when Aer Lingus has it all stated clearly on their own website

It's smaller on 'regional' (aka Aer Arann) flights because the overhead bins are smaller but it's the same on all of the Airbus fleet.

    Standard Allowance

One single piece of cabin baggage.

    All carry-on must be within the size dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 24cm (21.5" x 15.5" x 9.5").

    Aer Lingus Regional (flight numbers 3000 to 4000 operated by Aer Arann) size limits are 48cm x 33cm x 20cm (18.5" x 13" x 7.5").

    Etihad Codeshare flights size limits are 60cm x 35cm x 20cm (23.5" x 13.5" x 7.5").

Why would you tell me about carry on luggage when I'm asking about checked luggage?

Sorry. The only limit they quote is that on short-haul (Ireland/UK/Europe) flights, no single item can weigh more than 32 kgs. There are no other dimensions limitations mentioned for checked-in baggage.

usually anything outside of standard suitcase sizes just goes on the oversize luggage carousel together with things like golf clubs, bicycles and snowboards. What is so unusual about your suitcase that you don't think you it fits standards?
