    Drunk words=sober thoughts.

    Drunk talk is what happens when you get together with friends, drink and come up with "fabulous" ideas that the next day are totally ridiculous and end up never happening also it is Probably some version of the truth, but if they can only say it when they are drunk, it ain't worth much....says a man with many experience of speaking it.

    I once bet my friend I could fit a plectrum up my nose. I have never had that thought while sober.

    PS. I won.

    Something to do with rectum and nose.

    Drink can sometimes remove that filter between the brain and the mouth, with some people it just replaces it with a bullshít generator though.

    there's probably a degree of truth in it.

    alcohol will loosen you up, lower inhibitions and get you talking, which in turn would probably mean that if you have been "thinking" before you drink, then those thoughts are going to pour out of you the more drunk you get.

    My boyfriend tells me he loves me when hes drunk, definitely sh*te talk!! :o

    When Im drunk I say the things I want to say when Im sober, so for me it is drunk words= sober thoughts!

    I compulsively lie when I'm sober and not when I'm drunk.. it's probably because I'm having sex with so many hot girls

    Some people can build up the courage to be more truthful with drink in them.

    Drink makes you braver rather than honest...(in my experience)

    To a certain extent it's your thoughts expressed without inhibitions in a badly expressed slurred manner, however I have also had some drunk conversations with my gf, usually while falling asleep and she has told me I've talked complete fiction, as in asking about her job as a school teacher... she's not a school teacher and none of my mistresses are either...

    For me, nope, not usually. I don't have much of a filter in general anyway, so I usually just say the first thing in my head on any given day.
    When I'm drunk, I just tend to say the same things as I normally would, with some utter nonsense mixed in too.
    I do become way more sociable though.

    When I'm drunk I try to say the same things as I normally would, but it usually comes out in incomprehensible drivel.

    And that's just my voicemails to ex's at three in the morning.

    For some perhaps but certainly not for others.

    Everyone knows that alcohol effects different people in different ways. You'll notice it in your group of friends that you drink excessively with most often:

    The guy that always starts going around telling everyone he loves them;
    the guy that always forgets how to use his inside voice;
    the guy that always gets abusive/violent;
    the guy that always falls asleep;
    the guy that can't handle his booze and always throws up.

    And as such, there'll be those who always just talk about shit that normally wouldn't even cross their mind and those who finally start telling you how they really feel.

    I think it's a half truth that people show their true selves when drunk. I believe it's usually just an exaggeration of what you really think. You pass a certain point of drunkenness where your mind just isn't functioning rationally and it's just gibberish coming out of your mouth.

    Truth to an extent gets told but a lot of it dramatized to make the point. I don't exaggerate stories but if I feel strongly about something, I'll really hammer home the point much more than I would when I'm sober.

    It depends on how drunk they are.

    Talk to someone who's full of cocaine and then you'll see the meaning of sh*te talk.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,887 ✭✭✭Mariasofia

    Yeah i think it definitely depends on the level of drunkenness. 1 or 2 v chatty truth told 3 to 4 v chatty one or two exaggerations may be spoken 5 or more no idea if im speaking the truth or not but there is some recall the next morning of telling people that i love them :)

    What soberness conceals, drunkenness reveals.
