    Was this ever made into a movie? I've read the book a couple of times and think it'd make for a fantastic film for those of us with a dose of want for that kind of thing :D

    I've read it, but I don't know how good it would be as a movie. It's very complex and technical, and I think the Cold War setting would be tough on a modern mass audience. I thought Clear and Present Danger was a strong effort, but after what Hollywood did to The Sum Of All Fears, they've given up on putting the books on the screen and created a simplified Young Jack Ryan thriller instead. :rolleyes:
