Use of very thin models by Asos

Just browsing the Asos website tonight, it occurred to me... they have got to be the skinniest models used on any fashion retail website I've seen

I am not one to get on my high horse about how companies should use 'curvy' (hate the word) women in their campaigns, but most of the main stores I can think of use size 8-10, young attractive women, understandable. The Asos ones look unhealthy :( What really got to me though was their 'plus size' section, in fact it was only the contrast that made me sit up and take notice.

    'Normal' (By Asos standards) models:

They are no more than a UK size 4, at a guess.

Model from the 'Curve' () range:

That range doesn't even start until size 20, FFS, that girl is about a 12. False/misleading advertising if nothing else?

Has anyone else noticed this about Asos in particular? I'm sure these kinds of threads have been done before, just pissed me off for some reason tonight.

    Very thin.

Some girls naturally have that frame.

Underneath the picture of the girl in the red dress (on the website) it does say she's a UK 8. Remember they are quite tall also.
I do have to admit that her legs in the 'video' wearing same dress is quite frightful.

Then again are we conditioned to think negatively towards such body types?
As for the CURVE section, well, she's not reflecting the sizes that the CURVE section is for, so I don't see how that's viable.

I'm a size 8 normally but I have a Club L dress in size 10 and thats a squeeze. I would say she is a size 6 at most, and its accentuated by her height.
