    Hi,

I would be very grateful if anyone could let me know if there are any cafes/shops you know of just before/in the Glenamalure areas before the two big hill climbs at the 120km and 127km.

I know there's an official stop at Baltinglass and Rathdrum as is...

Thanks a million for any info

theres a place between the 2. Its fairly dead countryside before slieve maan but after you climb and descend off it, you come to a crossroads. Take the right and theres a place in on your left (will see it from the turn). Seems a popular spot with hairy bikers so be careful

This is a pub/hotel that I've been to a couple of times after mountain biking and hiking. I've had tea/coffee and sandwiches that were very nice (of course I think all food is nice after a few hours excercise). I wasn't at all worried by the quality of the other customers because it's been pretty empty any time I was there. You are unlikely to be able to see your bike from inside but there are plenty of tables outside to sit at. If you are happy to leave your bike on it's own for a few minutes or can leave someone outside while you go in and order then you'll be fine.

Here's a streetview showing it from the road you'll be on (it's the white building).
