Hi, having not seen this in the past, I'm wondering if these actually exist (or don't exist for good reason). I'm looking to see if there is any rubbish chutes that could be built into the kitchen ie: no bins in the kitchen, just a direct drop to the bin outside ?

I've never seen them before tbh.

How well would they work? Would they attract rats? How would you clean them? Is it a vertical drop into an open bin where the lid stays open all the time? How would you stop the smell coming back up to the kitchen?

Not trying to destroy your idea (I'm sure it's been done to some success before)...just interested on the practicalities of it.

Would the cute be insulated &/or air-tight?
