About 6 years ago I rescued a kitten from there who died a few days later. Devastated me. Never went back after that. Just want to know how they are now? Want to rescue a dog

Hi FawltyTowel,
I'm afraid we can't allow discussion about individual rescues or sanctuaries, because the topic tends to get rather heated.
I'd suggest perhaps trying a well-run rescue group who home-visit, and arrange neutering and vaccinating prior to adoption (or arrange for you to do it free or heavily subsidised if you're getting a kitten or puppy too young to neuter). Such places also give you back up and support for the life of the animal.
