Anyone know where I'd get a good feed of pasta or other carb rich food in Cork City next Sunday before the marathon??

Have you tried Trip Advisor? Dead handy for finding an Italian restaurant in an unfamiliar city.

If your in around the city centre,Scoozi's is just off Winthrop Street, which is off Patrick Street by Brown Thomas, or you could try Currans in Adelaide Street, just off the North Main Street

Scoozis would be my choice of the two.

Italee on Oliver Plunkett St. They do savage coffee aswell. The main thing is their prices are very reasonable: you'll pay €8-9 for a plate of pasta in there. Its just around the corner from the bus station for out-of-towners too.

Not open on Sundays AFAIK, Uncle Pete's on Paul St would be worth a go I'd suggest.

Stay away from pasta. Just eat what you would do normally.

Il Padrino between South Mall and Oliver Plunkett St should have plenty of Pasta dishes

You have plenty of options really. I would also suggest Scoozis....but you really should book in advance (021 4275077)
P.M me if you do decide to book there and your told they are booked out.

? Perhaps he/she normally eats pasta?

I do actually..find it to be good fuel for the long runs! Go through a good bit of penne, fusilli and spaghetti.

Il Padrino as previously mentioned is good, but it’s been a few years since I’ve been there. I had a good meal in Rico’s Trattoria in the Mardyke Complex. They had plenty of pasta choices and not too expensive. You can play a bit of air hockey or bowling if you fancy a bit of cross training :D Wherever you decide to go, I would book asap. I’d imagine the city will be busy on Sunday night.
