Un-invent something

If you could successfully get rid of one invention in the world what would it be? The history of the item would remain intact but there would be no more instances of the item, nor would it be able to be manufactured again.

I'd get rid of guns. For any instance where it might appear that guns are needed, we can have bow and arrows...I will almost certainly be proven wrong with this choice but until then I will stand by my ridiculousness.
