MK808 Won't Boot

I got my MK808 this morning and first off my tv is 1080i not 1080p so got the out of range message. Brought it to a mates place to get it going there and it won't boot past the GoogleTV Logo. Anybody have any ideas. I'm a total tech retard so, laymans terms if you can at all. Cheers
