I was prescribed painkillers by a dentist ( who has now retired) about 10 years ago. I had an allergic reaction to them and I can't remember the name of them. I think if I heard it I would remember. Would anyone know the commonly prescribed names of painkillers from dentists?

Go to your pharmacist and ask them what was given to you 10 years ago, they may have a record of it...

Everything else is just ridiculous guesswork

Can't even remember which chemists at the time- I've moved home and jobs three times since- doubt chemists would have a record even if I knew which one? Have always paid privately.

From your reaction there must be far too many possiblities anyway, I didn't know- thought there might be just a few types that are commonly prescribed. Thanks for the reply anyway.

Was his position filled by someone else? I know that when my dentist retireed another Dentist took over and had my Dental records. Google the name of the street/town and ring the Dentist Practices to see if they took over your dentist clients.
