i have a similar prestigio tablet.

Had the same problem, pc didn't recognise the tablet.
had to remove the sd card and transfer data to the sd card istead of to the tablet and
then insert the sd back into the tablet.

    Have you tried Settings>Developer options>USB Debugging...check this

Here is a link to Prestigio Tech Support with manual and latest?? f/w updates...

If this helps, for a different prestigio tablet:
PMP5080B: My computer cannot recognize the tablet?

As soon as you connect the device to your computer, open the menu opens in the bottom right - Chose USB-connection is established - then chose Enable USB-drive

And this, for 9.7 Ultra Duo:

How to connect the tablet to the computer?

    For Android 2.1 and above:
    1) In order to manage your files you will need to connect your device as a mass storage. Thus as soon as you plug in your USB cable into Personal Computer and Tablet simultaneously open dropdown bar menu on your tablet from about panel of your device screen. Then click on "Connect USB Storage" -> "Connect as mass storage". You will not need additional drivers to connect it.

    For Android 4.0 and above:
    2) In order to manage your files you will need to connect your device as a mass storage. Thus as soon as you plug in your USB into Personal Ccomputer and the Tablet simultaneously open dropdown bar menu on your tablet from the right bottom corner on the device's screen. Then click on "connect USB Storage" -> "Connect as mass storage". You will not need additional drivers to connect it.

    Ehhh??

There is internal memory, designated as internal SD....I think your device has 8GB, of which 6GB are available to the user.....

You also have a possibility of adding Micro SD card, externally, there is a slot....

I'll show you the Quick Start Guide...it's only four pages....you should note the various interfaces, and slots available...particularly Page 4....

You can buy a 32GB Class 10 micro SDHC card for £18.49 on Amazon, and some slightly cheaper.....
