    In the last fortnight I've had the same conversation three times with different people...

    Mate: "What do you mean? I posted it on FB during the weekl"

    Me: "Don't know what you're on about- are you sure I'm not an 'acquaintance' ergo it's not on my news feed as your settings don't permit it."

    Mate: "Errr... that might be it alright".

    Awkwardness usually follows...

    why would you classify someone who doesn't permit you to see certain things on their FB page as a "mate"

    Rather strange "mate" that's obviously trying to hide something from you.

    I have only 3 friends on my Facebook... :(




    I used to have lots of friends on my old Facebook account too but it was very annoying cuz all these people who never bother to talk to you and ignore you in real life end up pretending to be your best mate on Facebook. I didn't want any fake friends in my life and neither did I want the whole world to know what I was up to so I ended up deleting my Facebook account.

    Well that's the thing. They spend hours classifying their friends and still expect everyone to see everything they post!!

    It's becoming patently obvious that a lot of people feel the need to hide their wicked workings from all but a few. Perverse or simply precious; you decide.

    I'm quite at one with the fact that I have lots of acquaintances and a handful of close friends. Having said that, I have acquaintances on FB I banter with. I have close friends who are happy lurking (all day every day).

    The bottom line is my news feed is predominantly 'liked' pages updates rather than people updates. It's like not being picked for the team in school again:D

    I think most people share everything with friends, and just a few sensitive things under the custom setting, no?

    I have close friends on my fb, but I share the exact same content with other friends 90% of the time.

    Its cos the aquantince didnt except the friend request you must of sent a aquantince request instead at d start, try sending friend request again hope this helps thanks
