I think I heard all of the above during the Celtic Tiger era.

The one that impressed me though was a guy in the queue in front of me in a shop, who when asked for over €7 for a bread roll with fillings from the deli counter said: "I'm not paying that much". Sound bloke.

Kicking the can down the road!

Never heard this phrase until about five years ago but now it is used almost every time an opposition TD opens their mouth (including when FG & Lab were in the opposition).

I blame the government for this access to easy credit.

Don't you think you should focus on paying off the mortgage on your house rather than buying property in Bulgaria?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,750 ✭✭✭iDave

'Second property in Bulgaria, what on earth would i need that for?'

'Tickets to Ireland Rugby match? No thanks I'm not an event junkie and I'm only a casual fan/dont know the rules. It wouldnt be appropiate if I attend.'

If the value of our house rises we should share the equity with everybody else.
