Kwa's metal is far supperior to we's metal and their ns2 gas sytem is better aswel. Plus the kwa is only €120-€140.

Guys, I JUST want a review of the kwa glock 17/19......thanks

have to disagree with you there i have a KWA and a WE. the hop up and gas is better on WE and the metal colour is closer to the real glock. also the WE is cheaper than the KWA.

i do like the KWA, it also fits hard holsters better than the WE. both are great glocks. well worth the money i think the 19 is a perfect length.
good luck with your purchase. if you want to pimp out ur glock you can get a airsoft surgeon SAI slide kit

If I can get green gas sometime soon I could give you a better opinion, but this is what I know now. I have a second hand g17 I got off boards in good nick with a spare slide, outer barrel and 4 mags. I really like it. Not much of a compact pistol guy, so it's the g17.

I tested mine a few months ago indoors during winter for gas efficiency with some old and almost empty cans of green gas I had lying around. I used the last of them testing the glock. The blowback was quite good and it got a good few shots off it where the GBB cycled fully and properly, even for a green gas.
I don't like the KWA hopups because you need to carry a special key and they take a bit of getting used to and I haven't spent enough time with it to get the hang off it yet.

I can remember it having fair accuracy and range when I tested it first after buying it. Should be fine for a man sized target within pistol range. I would suggest spare mags incase it doesn't empty one in a full fill and it does suffer from cooldown so definitely bring spare mags if you'll be putting a lot of plastic downrange fast. Same for all green gas pistols.

I've held the WE model, not shot it though and it looks and feels like good quality and the newest gen is showing a lot more positive feedback than the old models.

There is also the co2 option. I think aps are making them, soon anyway. Also you can buy a ra-tech co2 magazine for KSC/KWA glocks but these are both expensive and out of stock in many retailers, importing it and paying tax might be the only option there.

On the topic of mags, do not buy china made long type 50 rd mags for the glock, these do not have the improved gas systems of KSC or Tokyo marui.

One last piece of advice, when you take off the slide you will notice a screw underneath at the back of the slide. Make sure this does not loosen, it will lower gas effeciency, affect the GBBs ability to cycle correctly and if loose enough, will stop the hammer from hitting with enough force to trigger the gas out of the magazine. This can happen over time, and you should clean the hole, dry it fully and apply locktight to the screw to keep it tight.

I'm sure someone else with more knowledge and experience, like Inari for example, will be able to tell you more.

Thanks for that, great help. Iv taken into account 2 spare mags in the budget and a tbb.im not one for using extended magazines as I think they look 'out of place'........anyway thanks again.

Well if you bring a speed loader, you could buy one co2 mag and empty and refill that. It should do more than one mag, maybe two on one fill. The base plate doesn't look great but they do appear to preform very well.

Just did some firing there, turns out I had a little gas left, range and accuracy as I remembered but because there's so little gas left in the can efficiency is a bit off but able to get a full mag through it now with a full fill, took a little while for the mag to settle in after months of no use.

And mag cooldown isn't too bad about 3-4 mags worth through it and it's cool but not cold

Just remeber to not fire too fast, even releasing the trigger and pausing for a split second can really be the difference of a full mag or half one. For longer distance this will come into play, For shorter distances this will vary on how many enemies there are and if they need more than one shot to take out.

Co2 is stronger which you also have to take into account of how hard it's hitting it's target.

But the green gas ksc can hit pretty close to the 1J in warm weather, in winter type you'd have to consider your shots more but so far it looks good for a summer time shooter.

I have used both we and kwa both a waste of time in anything under 10 degrees the only advantage of the kwa is you can buy a €50 co2 mag for it which makes it ok in the cold I love glocks but greengas is a disaster you can get an asg / kwa glock 19 for 120€ in most shops but you'll need a ra tech co2 mag to make it realible ,my advise is buy a co2 m9 save yourself the hassle much stronger kick accurate and most important wont let you down in the cold because let's face it ireland is a cold country .:-)

Had an m9 before and they're just not for me. Won't co2 sometimes go over 1 J on hot days? I'd just rather be on the safe side.

This gun really isn't getting fantastic feedback so I've moved on to the socom gear m1911 MEU. It's on a new thread.
Thanks for all the help lads, despite it not being positive!!!!!

They Don't really go over except may be the first shot in a new canister but I recommend a ra tech co2 mag for cold weather you'll have the same problem with all greengas

I myself am planning on getting a ratech mag for rionegro if I can. I have plenty of green gas mags that I could skirmish it alright but I'm adding for the cold winters, it looks fine for summers.
