cheap cut sward

    some of the co ops are selling a cheaper cut sward i think its 27.4.4 and its around €70 a ton less did anyone go for it and will it be as good as ordinary cutsward

    Depends on the needs of your soil - regular Cut sward is 24.5-2.5-10 so if you need K then it won't be much good to you - if you don't then happy days i'd say

    got dat last year, its not worth the bag its in. spend the extra bit and buy right stuff!!

    27-6-6 in the UK or the North is 27-2.5-5
    27-4-4 equates to 27-1.7-3.3

    the silage ground i am thinking of putting it on got cattle slurry and 2 ton /acre of lime 4/6 weeks ago thinking of putting 4 bags to acre on it

    your comparing apples with oranges, Amount of P and K in the bag is harly worth writing on the bag and I bet is a Urea based N

    Missed that bit on the price, difference should be more like €35 so €70 would be a give away that its urea based.

    Look at the bag weight. Unlikely to be 500kg in the bag as urea is bulkier and can't get the same weight in the bag.

    Granular urea, usually 375kg in the bulk bag (Grassland) Make sure your not paying for 500kg! Will look like 500kg in the spreader.
