What has Flickr done

    Just tried to upload a few pictures on the "new look" flickr

    It took me about half hour to upload 3 pictures and now it wont let me share them

    Anyone else with this problem or is it just me ?

    (mods this is relevant as the site is used by most people posting here on the aviation forum)

    I have had no problems uploading over the least week however I do dislike the new format for viewing photos......makes it harder to flick through a photostram.

    This is their long awaited site overhaul. While I would have said that the site needed to be updated (the basic layout hadn't changed in years) I really dislike this update, especially the way images are displayed on the front page. It would be nice to have an option of using a 'classic' view or to be able to customise the layout but they seem determined to keep it this way. I think they're more interested in mobile/tablet users and providing apps for that purpose (there's a new android app but I've found it pretty buggy).

    Some people like the change, a lot don't!

    Yahoo spent a fortune buying Flickr, then they sat on their hands and did nothing with it. This is a token effort to revitalise the service though it smacks of change just for the sake of it.

    Hi,

    Recently Flickr did a remodel of the site and it was VERY poorly done. I am hoping to get at least 10,000 signatures to turn into Marissa Mayer. Please share this with all your friends! We need this to go viral.

    "We ask you to please change Flickr back to its old style. The new style is incredibly poorly done and we had no chance to opt out or even pick between the new and old style."
